Earlier today as of the time of making this report, election were ongoing in oduma achara, the youths,elders, women and all concerned indigens of oduma Achara unanimously rejected Mr pious Ani second term bid as they voted him out and returned pastor Orji Godwin unopposed.
According to an interview made by Communityreporters news, one of the electorate named Mrs Agatha okorie said that Mr pious Ani their immediate past president general embezzled their funds and grants sent to his people by the state government to develop their land, including their internally generated revenues.
The good people of oduma Achara autonomous community are calling on the local government chairman of Aninri, the state government His Excellency rt honorable ifeanyi ugwuanyi to come to their aid and rescue them from autocratic ruleres, and dictators as their immediate past president general Mr pious Ani has been using the name of the state government to tell lies saying that it was an order from the state government to return all the PG’s in second term.

Against all pleadings and persuasions by men of goodwill and voices of wisdom, the Senator representating Enugu West Senatorial zone had defiantly sought to desecrate an ancient understanding, peaceable sharing, orderly transition of power, and binding agreement upon which the Wawa State of Enugu was founded.
He misled many as he recruited massively for his onslaught against truth and fairness, propounding divisive theories and advancing his destructive seductive formulae which the overwhelming majority of Ndi Enugu vehemently refused to drink.
The peace Apostle that is the Governor of Enugu State, Rt Hon Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi had endured torrid times from the many formats of distractions and well honed tactics of confusion. As the saying goes that the best of gold passes through the hottest fire, the fine gentleman of uncommon plumage, the white Lion emerged from the challenge as a peerless Diplomat. He bade his time, soaked in his convictions of equity and fairness, he silently sidestepped all the boobytraps of spooky lies thrown his way by hired individuals and interests, who are uninitiated into the Lion’s higher echelon of wisdom.
Every market has its designated dismissal time and the darkness of vain glory is looming. Verifiable information from an elevated grapevine indicates that the Enugu West Senator, Prof Ike Ekweremadu had gone back to his spittle, grovelling before the Governor for him to allow him return to the Senate!
Oh how the mighty has plummeted into a damaging fall.
With this development therefore, i call on all the people of Enugu West, especially the land of Warriors- Ndi Udi, to roll out all the war drums, let the sonorous ogene ike ring out and assemble all for this war of ages & agree with one voice that Udi will not be denied the Senate of Enugu West this time. If we have not forgotten our ancestry and we haven’t become servile and indolent, time is here to prove it.! Enough is enough! All the fishes will not end up in the belly of the shark for peace to return to the ocean. Indeed the barracudas, the piranhas, the seals and all aquatic life must rise in one voice to retire this political Enoch who have overstretched his luck and overstayed his welcome!
Thankfully, the visionary and strategic Chairman of Udi, Hon Nze Philip Okoh had as a leader who has the right connections with infinite intelligence, last week mobilized all the Major Senatorial contenders and Stakeholder in Udi to swear an oath of oneness for this purpose, which was sealed with an accord. This position must as a matter of urgency be transmitted to the Governor and backed up with a demonstration of further seriousness. We urge His Excellency the Governor of Enugu State in the name of everything good, to refuse to succumb to this primitive tactics of a desperate politicians. All hands are called to the deck as we take possession of what is ours.

The problem of qualitative representation and good leadership has become very crucial in the journey of Aninri, Awgu and Oji River Federal Constituency, that it gives many concerned constituents sleepless nights. This is the pathetic situation which Chinua Achebe saw when he equivocally asserted that ” The trouble with Nigeria is simple and squarely a failure of leadership” .
Truly, leadership is indeed a problem. Every society certainly needs committed leaders like honorable Amos oshi.
The reason why we overwhelmingly voted for the PDP for sixteen years and also yeiling to vote for them come 2023 to usher in quality leadership to Nigerians who had hitherto suffered as a result of bad leadership of the (all progressive Congress) so far so good, the PDP government has been up and doing in delivering quality leadership to Nigerians for the past years.
It’s written “many are called but few are chosen” that’s why Aninrian’s, Awgu and oji river are yeiling for chief honorable Amos oshi egbe eji ejeogu to represent them in the federal house of representatives, Aninri Awgu and oji river federal Constituency.
His antecedents speaks for him and so many well meaning Aninrian’s who incidentally have been following the trends of events in Aninri believe that with chief honorable Amos oshi is an infrastructural mogul, whom if given the opportunity to steer the ship of Aninri Awgu and oji river federal Constituency will be unprecedented and revolutionary. He has the required and needed political will to give his people the leadership they deserves. Moreso, he is practically displaying the leadership acumen in the development of Aninri which is endearing him to Awgu and oji river.
Let’s give him support come 2023 Aninri Awgu and oji river shall be better.
One could question the miraculous saying that the PDP Enugu State house of Assembly, Aninri State Constituency ticket has been given to honorable phillip orji.
Power is never taking when the supreme being above all the universe has choosen to give his representative in PDP Aninri, no man born of a woman,can stop the anointed man with the Grace of God .
As a man of wisdom and integrity, he stands a better chance more than anyone else , a technocrat is always on the drawing board before the game commence .
Dr Mrs Theodora Nkemdilim Odi’s exceptional leadership determinism is so amazing that even when the opposition in the State introduces extraneous variables such as false allegations and diversionary tactics, she refuses to be distracted; She remains focused on her primary agenda to serve her people better than she met it. Such a leader holds the key that can open the gate ways to a new Aninri, Awgu and oji river federal Constituency and this is why she enjoys massive support and loyalty from the masses of whose confidence in her is unequivocal and indeed total.
As 2023 beckons and as elections and the change of 9th assembly approach, Aninri, Awgu and oji river federal Constituency has a capacity driven candidate in Dr.Mrs Theodora Nkemdilim Odi to hold forth for the coveted position.

Honorable chief ajah Benneth Ogbannaya the executive chairman of Aninri is an agent of positive change in Aninri. When many other local government are experiencing conflict, destruction of lives and property, setback, under-development, poverty, kidnapping, banditary, bokoharam, headsmen, unknown gun men, etc. Aninri local government base on grace and experience, is the most peaceful in Enugu State, recording unprecedented transformation in all nooks and crannies of the state. No doubt True (1973) a great philosopher opined an assertion that absence of conflict in an organization stimulate massive progressive development. Conflict or violence can never bring development.
It is very difficult to see a leader with special grace and wisdom from God. A leader with special grace and wisdom which has been use in piloting the affairs of Aninri local government to a very high bond of love and peace driving.
Let me tell you the truth, without leaders like Aja Benneth the consolidation of democracy in Aninri would have remain a dream.
He is the only one who understands that to tackle political conflict induced by youth restiveness, should be solve by massive employment of the youths. No doubt in this regard he approved the employment of many youths into his administration. Going by a simple statistic, he is taking approximately more than 100 youths off the street, making them useful. Which means in time to come Aninri is going to produce the highest productive youths in Enugu State and Nigeria in general.
This is the right measure to have receive response that will minimize violence, in addition, as our youth become useful, respect the rule of law and due process, we will have the most peaceful society ever in courtesy of Aja Benneth’s administration.

Finally before I drop my pen, the nature of Aninri has now been re-defind into a real principle of democracy where equal previlages and rights prevail.

The outgoing Senator, representing Enugu west Senatorial district in the national assembly and a big time greedy politician from the state, a serial betrayal and known blackmailer, Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has gone abysmal over his inordinate ambition to truncate the existing political system that gave him opportunity to rise to power. This is because, the Senator had thought he would once again deploy his magical and dehumanizing occultic powers to work on people’s intelligence, in other to cause confusion and crisis in Enugu, and possibly have his way to remain in power forever.
It was a big shock to his followers over the weekend, when Chief Ekweremadu went into begging that he should be allowed to return back the Senate of Enugu west in the national assembly, come 2023. It was equally reliably gathered that Sen Ekweremadu paid a visit to his benefactor, H.E, Sen Dr Chimaroke Nnamani, at his Ojiagu Agbani country home, over the last weekend. Sen Ekweremadu was visibly seen pleading with Sen Nnamani to help secure the face of the Governor to pardon his mistakes and all atrocities he committed against his government, caused by his ambition, and forgive him to return back to the Senate for a 6th time.
Unfortunately for the estranged former deputy senate president, he was totally disappointed by the response from the senator representing Enugu east Senatorial zone, when he advised him to go and call all the stakeholders of Enugu west for a political town hall meeting and inform them about his u-turn to represent them for the 6th term in the red chamber. Those who accompanied the Sen Ekweremadu on the visit, were not happy over the outcome, which they made public their displeasure, the recent political movement of their master. One of them while discussing the outcome of the visit with a friend who do not want his name in print, lamented the glare of deception in Ekweremadu’s character, urging his friend that he was totally disappointed in their boss whose insatiable greed and quest for power is gradually ceding to self destruction.
Now, for Sen Ekweremadu to have made this infantile move to secure Nnamani’s face to help him negotiate his way to Governor Ugwuanyi’s pardon and approval for his stay in power, further proven that the Senator has no integrity, and has remain one of the unreliable element when it comes to dealing with humanity. Sen Ekweremadu is so shameless that he could do anything to get himself back to power. Maybe he has forgotten that no empire lives forever. How can a man who boasted to have secured the national PDP leadership’s endorsement over his gubernatorial ambition, and has equally deployed some social media mischievous persons on character assassination and deformity against the Governor Ugwuanyi’s led leadership in the same state he wants to be governor by all means? Does this mean, that Ike Ekweremadu has now realised his mistake for waging political war against the governor, and all those who had contributed in making him to be where he is today? I doubt if Ekweremadu could go this length begging for power.
Unfortunately for many who have been going around with him causing unnecessary tension and fermenting troubles, are now being used and abandoned by the supreme leader whose trademarks has remain trading off people’s goodwill to achieving his own personal and parochial interest. What a deceptive tendency running in Ekweremadu’s DNA? Anyway, the people of Enugu west are seriously concerned and are waiting for the Senator’s call for stakeholder’s town hall meeting to declare for the Senate for the 6th term as was advised when he paid a political refugee visitation to his erstwhile boss whom the Senator had for many occasions humiliated and planned with the former administration in the state to retire from active politics. When is Ike Ekweremadu making inroads to this advise by Sen Chimaroke Nnamani?

Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. Part of life is understanding that real change and progress comes with dedicated perseverance but also realizing that challenges, obstacles and roadblocks will appear from time to time.
With the yearning for true change the current crop of politicians were voted into power. Why? Because we didn’t look very well and will therefore regret. But remember that Actively recognizing progress towards your goal will ultimately end up inspiring you and have you pushing even harder. But why should we push harder this time around? I ask what about the less previleged? Who have not benefitted from the charitable feats of this great woman? Let him/she speak out!!! My dear people of Aninri Local Government Area, I extend my warm season’s greetings and felicity to you all as we celebrate Easter once again. I join our Christian faithful all over the world in giving thanks to God Almighty whose Grace and benevolence have kept us alive and well through thick and thin.
On this Easter, let us think about the unconditional love that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, had for us to the extent that He gave His life for our salvation on good Friday. We should also reflect our minds on His resurrection by God on Easter. What a lesson for us of what sacrifice can achieve and the benefits it can bring to mankind generally and individually.
Let us all therefore resolve in this Easter season to make the ideals of peace, harmony, tolerance, love and goodwill to all, even more manifest in our interactions with one another.
With God Almighty as our guide, strength and facilitator, my Administration will continue to implement her agenda for transformation in furtherance of its avowed commitment to improving the living conditions of all Aninri people and beyond.

I respect Sen. Ike Ekweremadu a lot. He is a great politician in every sense of the word.
In the last two years, he has succeeded in making Mbe Nwaniga to see him as the saviour Enugu State needs.
You see, it takes a whole lot to bamboozle intellectuals like Mbe cleansing their memories to such extent that they forget that prior to 2020, Ike Ekweremadu was a godfather, single handedly producing almost 30% of political office holders in Enugu State.
Now, Mbe adores him as the leader of the fight against godfatherism in Enugu. This is even as Ike is still lamenting that one of his godsons is no longer doing his bidding.
To make him forget in a hurry, that Ekweremadu before 2019, was the leading symbol of PDP, a party Mbe staked everything in him to ensure its booted out of power.
You see, Ekweremadu is smart. He succeeded in making another intellectual, Ogechukwukamma Abia a symbol of confusion, who fights for zoning with the last drop of his blood at the national level, insisting that he will not accept anything that is not Igbo Presidency.
But at the same time, Mr. Oge sees zoning as a stumbling block to Ekweremadu saving Enugu State from where Ekweremadu probably kept it.
You see, Ekweremadu is powerful, he succeeded in making a good governance advocate, Mr. Kelechi Onu to see him as the Messiah Enugu needs, effectively clearing his memories such that he forgot that Ekweremadu was in the kitchen cabinet of the must corrupt, insecure, high handed and dictatorial Administration ever witnessed in Igbo Land.
You see, but I my respect for Ekweremadu won’t be too much because I suspect that the tactics he is using was copied from a template left by the APC.
I suspect so much that there’s no way Ekweremadu wouldn’t have studied the way APC took power, because the two of them look so identical you wouldn’t be able to differentiate.
You see, the way APC were able to bamboozle everyone, intellectuals alike into believing that those who put Nigeria in a messy State like Buhari and Tinubu could save Nigeria, is the same way Ekweremadu is bamboozling some people into thinking that Ekweremadu who has had a hand in everything that happened in Enugu State since 1999 could save Enugu State.
The same way APC belittled everything GEJ did and condemned them, promising to do greater things, is the same way Ekweremadu and his boys keep striving to water down everything Gov. Ugwuanyi did, and keep promising better days ahead.
You see, the same way APC hyped very minor mistakes under GEJ to look like a Catastrophe is the way Ekweremadu’s boys are hyping simple issues in Enugu State to look like heaven has fallen. Same template.
The same way APC made Nigerians uncomfortable being the fastest growing economy in Africa, is the same way Ekweremadu’s boys are making Enugu people to be uncomfortable as the most peaceful and one of the most economically stable states with prompt salary payments.
It’s the same pattern across board. They both preach a change of the status quo, and have not clearly stated how it would be changed or in what direction.
The only difference is that Governor Ugwuanyi is not the politically weak like Goodluck Jonathan.
But we can be rest assured that if by mistake, Ekweremadu succeeds the way APC did, which is a mission impossible, we should expect nothing less than what APC did.

In his appreciation of the beauty of democracy, Jawaharlal Nehru of India enthuses: “Democracy is good; I say so because other systems are worse”. I can’t agree with him less because democracy as a form of government and as a system of governance empowers the people to hold their leaders accountable. Democracy also preaches that leaders should brook responsible opposition, not irresponsible opposition that negates democratic ethos. So when mention is made of the beauty of democracy, rule out falsehood, fake news, insults, abuses, hate, envy, acrimony, antagonisms and other negativities from the ingredients of democracy because they are not within the purviews of opposition democracy. Rather, they are within the ambits of evil.
But then, the politicians playing politics of negativism can go on and on in their flawed and futile negativities on Dr. Mrs Theodora Nkemdilim Odih. That is the level of their own infantile reasoning, warped political culture and disjointed attitudinal disorientation. It is not the beauty of democracy. Be that as it may, it is good to note that no matter what anyone feels or thinks about himself and about others, the truth essentially and existentially remains that there are different calibre of men in every democratic clime; those that see the progress of democracy and those that see the backwardness of democracy. So, when highly calibrated men speak good of democracy where the dividends truly exist, you easily discern the difference between them and the boys we see daily, walking the streets of Zuckerberg, mouthing cheap words through the keyboard of their phones and eliciting the accolades of their acolytes and other men of little minds as they relish negativism.
It is gratifying and indeed breathtaking to know that highly calibrated Aninrian’s, Awgu, and OJi River Federal Constituency from all works of life do not mince words in their celebration of her Excellency Dr.Mrs Theodora Nkemdilim Odi and her aspirations for perfect representation in the federal house of representatives, Aninri, Awgu and OJi River Federal Constituency under the platform of the people’s Democratic party ( PDP) for a wonderful infrastructural transformation of Aninri,Awgu and OJi River. As the words of these eminent personalities substantiate my claims.

A leader of Dr.mrs Theodora Nkemdilim Odih’s breed who had proven herself in different capacities as a developer in all facets of life of his people, deserve the unwavering support of his people in all its sincere ramifications.
The imperative of this piece is anchored on the psychological dictum that human behavior when subjected to a laboratory test defies constancy. This also explains why human behaviour cannot be predicted with absolute certainty without the possibility of error.
This is further exemplified by politicians who perceive politics as a game of ploys and decoys which must be played with the intent of achieving gratifications and not with the sincerity of support.
There is this story told about Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the Yoruba political god of the 20th Century. Awolowo; an astute politician of his generation perfectly understood the human intrigues of the game and always ensured he was never a victim of such intrigues. Hence, a curious Awolowo would keep asking the stakeholders of his party; the Action Group, AG of the first republic and the Unity Party of Nigeria, UPN of the second republic, whether they were still in his support. This, he always did day and night till the last minute to the polls. This pricked the conscience of those who were surreptitious and subterranean to the point that they later resolved to sincerely remain in his support.
Dan Fodio says that conscience is an open wound; only the truth can heal it. It is therefore better to quit totally than dwell on cosmetic support and artificial loyalty with the Fifth Columnism which is worse to deal with in a system and which checkmates the progress and utterly destroys a system.
Assuming without entirely conceding that anyone; whether among government functionaries[elected or appointed] or the masses plays the Judas in her support for, bidding time to sell her for filthy lucre, what will it profit such fellow? It is more honourable to quit than to be identified as a traitor. Few sincere supporters are better, potent and useful than a mammoth of masquerades.
In Julius Caesar, the King of Rome was not bothered by the sword that finally killed him, but by the weilder of the sword. It was for this reason that he exclaimed; “et tu Brute!”[even you, Brutus!]. That summarises his agony and disappointment and illustrates the saying that it is more excruciating to be betrayed by the people you trust.
Let us examine and re-examine ourselves in the light of our support for our dear incoming Legislator and tell our consciences the truth. The enemy within is deadlier than the enemy at bay.
There is every need for all of us to honestly support our dear mummy Dr.mrs Theodora Nkemdilim Odih for all her good works; the first of its kind in Aninri, Awgu and OJi river federal Constituency and indeed in the comity of enugu state. This is a task that deserves to be done.

The leadership of the Nzukő Aninri’, an association of people with the common interest of forestalling peace, tranquility, unison amongst people regardless of political party and socio-cultural cleavages, yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local government Area, Hon. Chief Benneth Ajah , today, at his council office, Ndeagbor.
The president of the group, High Chief Barr. Sir Akpa .E.M. Ede and his Exco member extrapolated vividly on the rationale behind the visit.
“Before now, the group has no doubt since inception impacted positively on the generality of the Aninri community as it was the first to start Radio program as a way of promoting peace and bringing Aninri to the notice of Enugu people; maiden IRIJI NDI ANINRI and results of the program made history as the first local government to achieve this feat and the amiable Governor of Enugu State and many other dignitaries were all very pleased with unannounced achievements of the association.
In another vein, Barr. Ede and his exco members sought for the support and cooperation with Aninri local government chairman for the sustainability of the Radio program and annual “IRIJI NDI ANINRI . At that juncture, suggestions on how to tackle security challenges were also raised.
Furthermore, the group condemned the attack on the Executive Chairman’s residential building at the eve of the local government’s election and also the event of last Saturday at the party meeting…
In response, the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local government, Hon. Chief Benneth Ajah, lauded the concept and aim of the Nzuko Aninri’ in restoring sanity in Aninri communities, promoting their language through radio program and a thorough re-orientation of our youths. He however expressed optimum supports in all ramifications, to ensure that Aninri Local government is sanitized using every positive means possible to achieve social and economic change and stability.
Jeremy Bentham, an English Philosopher, during one of his teachings on ‘utilitarianism’ opined that public policy should aim at greater happiness for the greater number of people. In his ‘Introduction to Morals and Legislation’, Bentham argued that the moral quality of an action should be measured by the happiness of the people and on his teachings on ‘Utilitarian Philosophy’, Bentham made it clear that there would be no better happiness the people could derive from a public policy than when their voices are heard.
In addition, John Stuart Mill who was an English Philosopher, political economist, member of the English parliament, influential thinker on classical liberalism, champion of modern utilitarianism and a proponent of ethical hedonism, also buttressed the points of Bentham in his teachings on ‘Political Economy’ in 1848 where he stated that everyone ought to seek happiness not for himself alone but for all mankind and for such individual to seek happiness for all mankind, he must lend them his voice.
It’s on this note that I called the Executive Chairman of Aninri LG Honourable Chief Ajah Beneth Ogbonnaya ‘a voice to the voiceless’ because, the grace of God found him worthy and he was elected by the good people of Aninri LG so as for their voice to be heard in the local government, state and the country in general. It’s on record that for decades now, the administration of the local government has been in the hands of few persons if not one which rendered many of the people of the local government voiceless and hopeless and until you passed through the feudal lord, you would never be a member of the feudal family.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, in keeping with his peace initiative, on Monday, met with stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Aninri Local Government Area over the disagreement that erupted at the monthly LG meeting of the party, held at Ndeaboh, during the weekend, which left some people injured.
Gov. Ugwuanyi enjoined the Aninri PDP stakeholders to embrace peace and work together as brothers for the progress of the party, the council area and the state in general.
The governor on receiving the report of the incident visited the injured at ESUT Teaching Hospital, Parklane, Enugu to empathize with them and made funds available to ensure that they were given adequate medical attention.
The peace meeting, which involved the faction led by the Council Chairman, Hon. Benneth Ajah and the one led by the member representing Aninri Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Okwu (Otaka), offered the participants, including those who sustained injuries, the opportunity to table their grievances and revelations before the governor.
In their separate narrations, all the speakers reiterated that Gov. Ugwuanyi is their leader, and pledged to abide by his decisions at the meeting aimed at resolving the issues amicably. They also pledged to abide by the governor’s directions in respect of the PDP primaries in the state and the 2023 general elections.
They appreciated Gov. Ugwuanyi for his commitment and resilience in resolving issues in Aninri LGA on several occasions, apologized to the governor for the disagreement during the party meeting and assured him that they will ensure that such unfortunate incident does not happen again in the council area.
Resolving the issues to the satisfaction of all the stakeholders present at the meeting, Gov. Ugwuanyi directed that on no account should people who are not members of the PDP in Aninri be brought to party meetings in the council area.

The traditional ruler of Okpanku, HRH Igwe Reginald Ajah Chukwu (Mkpume Asaa 1 of Okpanku) and the kinsmen of the executive chairman of Aninri Local Government Area yesterday, April 10, 2022, paid a courtesy visit to their illustrious son, Hon. Chief Ajah Benneth Ogbonna, in his hometown, Okpu Okpanku.
The Igwe of Okpanku, Igwe Reginald Ajah Chukwu who opened the floodgate of encomiums for Hon. Chief Ajah Benneth Ogbonna, stated that their son while a business man, empowered more youths in Okpanku than any other person from the community.
His kinsmen and Council of Chiefs praised the council mayor for recognizing no boundaries in his empowerment drive and assured him that Okpanku people are strongly with him.
According to one of his kinsmen, “we will support the man with the highest record of human capital development records in Okpanku and believe he would do same for Aninri as he did for Okpanku”.
Another chief also expressed his optimism that Nnanyereugo’s administration would be one of the bests ever in history”.
Earlier in the event, Hon Chief Benneth Ajah received royal blessings from Okpanku traditional rulers and his kinsmen who showered him with divine blessings and presented him with “Offor”, life he-goat, tubers of yam and keg of palm-wine.
The chairman and the son of the soil in his gratitude, commended the traditional rulers and his kinsmen for finding time to pay him a visit.
He expressed his appreciation and charged his people to continue to be united as they stand a better chance to achieve more as a united family.

A leader of Dr.mrs Theodora Nkemdilim Odih’s breed who had proven herself in different capacities as a developer in all facets of life of his people, deserve the unwavering support of his people in all its sincere ramifications.
The imperative of this piece is anchored on the psychological dictum that human behavior when subjected to a laboratory test defies constancy. This also explains why human behaviour cannot be predicted with absolute certainty without the possibility of error.
This is further exemplified by politicians who perceive politics as a game of ploys and decoys which must be played with the intent of achieving gratifications and not with the sincerity of support.
There is this story told about Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the Yoruba political god of the 20th Century. Awolowo; an astute politician of his generation perfectly understood the human intrigues of the game and always ensured he was never a victim of such intrigues. Hence, a curious Awolowo would keep asking the stakeholders of his party; the Action Group, AG of the first republic and the Unity Party of Nigeria, UPN of the second republic, whether they were still in his support. This, he always did day and night till the last minute to the polls. This pricked the conscience of those who were surreptitious and subterranean to the point that they later resolved to sincerely remain in his support.
Dan Fodio says that conscience is an open wound; only the truth can heal it. It is therefore better to quit totally than dwell on cosmetic support and artificial loyalty with the Fifth Columnism which is worse to deal with in a system and which checkmates the progress and utterly destroys a system.
Assuming without entirely conceding that anyone; whether among government functionaries[elected or appointed] or the masses plays the Judas in her support for, bidding time to sell her for filthy lucre, what will it profit such fellow? It is more honourable to quit than to be identified as a traitor. Few sincere supporters are better, potent and useful than a mammoth of masquerades.
In Julius Caesar, the King of Rome was not bothered by the sword that finally killed him, but by the weilder of the sword. It was for this reason that he exclaimed; “et tu Brute!”[even you, Brutus!]. That summarises his agony and disappointment and illustrates the saying that it is more excruciating to be betrayed by the people you trust.
Let us examine and re-examine ourselves in the light of our support for our dear incoming Legislator and tell our consciences the truth. The enemy within is deadlier than the enemy at bay.
There is every need for all of us to honestly support our dear mummy Dr.mrs Theodora Nkemdilim Odih for all her good works; the first of its kind in Aninri, Awgu and OJi river federal Constituency and indeed in the comity of enugu state. This is a task that deserves to be done.
There’s a news making the rounds that Hon. Okwu Chinedu Otaka, the member representing Aninri Constituency in Enugu State House of Assembly, was attacked by thugs which led to his sustaining grievous injuries in his head.
The blogger which goes by the name: “hooha.english.com.ng” alleged in his publications of 10th April, 2022, that Hon. Okwu Chinedu sustained grievous bodily injuries (especially in his head).
We have read the poorly investigated reportage and found it laughable.
For clarity purposes, grievous bodily harm means serious bodily injury. It includes fractured or dislocated bones, deep cuts, torn members of the body, serious damage to internal organs, and other severe bodily injuries.
In the pictures published by the said blogger who is obviously a supporter of the constituency parliamentarian, published two pictures of different people identified as Christopher Ofordile and Njoku Sergius.
We therefore, challenge Hon. Okwu Chinedu Otaka to show us any part of his own body that is “grievously harmed” as alleged by the blogger who chose to carry his lies to the public.
This is to once again bring to the knowledge of the public, the antics of Hon. Okwu Chinedu Otaka and Senator Ike Ekweremadu over their roles in instigating violence in Aninri Local Government, and their desperate search to put blames on innocent persons in order to gain sympathy from the public.
We challenge the general public to critically look at the two pictures published by the pro- Otaka blogger and examine if truly those people looked like Hon. Okwu Chinedu Otaka?
This is to justify the statement of Joseph Goebbels who said that, “if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes accepted as truth before the public”.
We have once again proved that Hon. Okwu Chinedu Otaka and Sen. Ike Ekweremadu are selling the wrong story to the public and we challenge them to prove us wrong instead of attempting to win worthless sympathy from the public.
The Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Benneth Ajah, on the 10th of April, 2022, flagged-off polio immunization exercise across the 10 Council Wards in the LGA.
The flag-off exercise which took place at Ekoli Health Center, Okpanku, is organized by the Enugu State Primary Health Care Development Agency and Partners, and sponsored by the Council Area.
During the flag- off which includes the representatives of the National Primary Health Care, Enugu Health Care, World Health Organization, Independent Monitors and Ward focal persons, Hon. Chief Benneth Ajah encouraged the entire team to put in their best to ensure the exercise achieves its goal.
The exercise however, is targeted at children between 0-5 years.
Hon. Chief Benneth Ajah assured the entire team of his firm commitment towards improving the health sector in Aninri.
The HOD for health in Aninri Local government, Mrs Joy along other representatives from the state and the World Health Organization, lauded Hon. Chief Benneth Ajah’s commitment to ensuring a smooth running of the exercise.
Mrs Joy, said that with such level of support, commitment and motivation from the Council boss who is less than two months in the office, the health sector in the Council would be raised above the current standard.
She further appreciated the entire team and urged the Health professionals to put in their best in making sure the exercise is successful .
The council chairman was accompanied by the Chief of staff to the local government, Barr.Ajah Robert okoro, Supervisor for Health,Hon Ogbonna Okereke, Special Assistant on Health, Hon Timothy Esom, and a host of other functionaries.
This is in response to the Facebook post made by Senator Ike Ekweremadu about what allegedly happened to Hon. Chinedu Okwu Otaka and others at the meeting of Aninri PDP, where he, Ekweremadu, alleged that Hon. Otaka sustained life-threatening injuries from a meeting that was marred by violence.

On the eve of the Local Government election across Enugu State, the residential home of Hon. Ajah Benneth Ogbonna located at Ikeoha Drive, Okpu Okpanku, was burnt down and millions of properties destroyed by “unknown arsonists and gunmen”. Senator Ike Ekweremadu never condemned that act nor called to sympathize with the victim. And mind you, this is the first time in the history of Aninri that the house of a local government aspirant was targeted for destruction. In spite of the wide condemnation of the dastardly act by the so called “unknown gunmen”, Senator Ike Ekweremadu never gave a hoot about it. But in all fairness, is silence the best he could do in the circumstance as a major stakeholder of the Council?
On 23rd of March, 2022, some party executives who are loyal to Ike Ekweremadu, walked out on the Executive Chairman during a party executive meeting with Ndi Igwe and PGs. The walk out was targeted at humiliating the executive chairman who was barely two weeks old in the office, at the time. Ike Ekweremadu, rather than call the erring executives to order, went behind and paid them N50,000 each for walking out on the executive chairman.
During the Silver Jubilee of Aninri Local Government Area which was held on the 20th of February, 2022, senator Ike Ekweremadu referred to the executive chairman as a “dirty soil in the water of Aninri”. Many people who heard it couldn’t believe their ears. A lot of us who attended the event were angry why would a sitting senator make such comment about his brother and local government chairman. Ekweremadu neither withdrew this comment nor apologized to Hon. Ajah Benneth Ogbonna till today.
Not long after then, the Executive chairman began to receive countless threat messages and phone calls, warning him about the consequences of not bowing to Ekweremadu as the Aninri Local Government Area. The Chairman’s sister whom is a grassroot political influencer in Okpanku, was equally threatened countless times by the so called “unknown persons”.
On the 6th of April, 2022, the member representing Aninri in the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Chinedu Otaka, hired thugs and disrupted Aninri stakeholders meeting. The thugs did exactly what they were brought to do without leaving any stone unturned. At the command of Hon. Otaka, they walked on the stage where the executive chairman was seated and chanted derogatory choruses to demean the good image of the chairman. Senator Ike Ekweremadu heard about it and kept quiet. He neither called Hon. Otaka to order nor blamed him for hiring thugs to disrupt the stakeholders meeting.
Before the PDP’s local govt meeting held on the 9th of April, 2022, an intelligence report was made available to the executive chairman about a plan by certain individuals in the local government to cause havoc at the meeting. The intelligence was real and confirmed to be true. The evidence is at hand and would be made open at the appropriate time. As the executive chairman and chief security officer of Aninri, the chairman was concerned and sought to prevent hostilities.
It appeared that Hon. Otaka before the arrival of the executive chairman, already mobilized some thugs like he did the last time to cause tension at the meeting. Unfortunately for him, luck ran out of him when some party members confronted him and pushed him out of the venue. When the executive chairman intervened, his calls were ignored by the angry party members whom wanted to express their disappointments in Hon. Otaka’s role in hiring thugs to disrupt party meetings.
The story which Ike Ekweremadu is publishing on his Facebook page is false. While he is making Hon. Otaka the victim, he is not telling who is the villain. But while the house of the executive chairman was set ablaze, Ekweremadu did not write to condemn it. While the life of the executive chairman and that if his family were threatened, Ekweremadu did not write to condemn it. While some of his loyalists walked out on the executive chairman, Ekweremadu went behind and paid them N50,000 for a job well done.
If not for Ekweremadu’s double standard, why would he be defending Hon. Otaka? The same person who has been disrupting party meetings and instigating violence in the local government. This is why Ekweremadu must reexamine his conscience. Ekweremadu must desist from deceiving the world as a master of deceit that he is, and urge Hon. Otaka to apologize to the party for hiring thugs to disrupt party meetings.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Aninri Local Government chapter today, held her monthly meeting at Ndeabor, the local government headquarters today 9/04/2022, Speaking at the party meeting, the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Benneth Ajah reassured the party faithfuls of his commitment in making sure that the party stands firm under his watch.
The new Mayor went further to thank the party faithfuls for their maximum support to the party and pleaded with them to continue in that spirit.
At the peak of the meeting, the SSA on Communication, Hon. Chukwunonye Okereke spiced up the meeting by thanking the good people of Aninri for their support and prayers. He admonished the people to always remember that Aninri as a Local Government Area, is owing Enugu state Government (The Government of Gburugburu) because he had given to us, what other local governments are clamouring for, free of charge.
Meanwhile, the auditor of Enugu state People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Onyeka Onwe praised the working party chairman, Hon. Victor Okoro for his capacity and transparency, Hon. Onyeka described him as a strong party chairman and faithful loyalist. While praising him, he also charged the party chairman Hon. Victor Okoro to remain resilient and focused.
Furthermore, the Capacity Party Chairman of Aninri Hon. Victor Okoro, thanked the good people of Aninri for the trust and mandate given to him, he pledged full loyalty to the party and the Government of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
In his statement, he stated that:
“His Excellency the Executive Governor of Enugu state is the reason why we are here and we must in all sincerity, pay him with maximum support and prayer any day any time”
The SSA on Transport Hon. Barr Peter Ajah in his own remark, described the Mayor of Aninri as “New Face of Aninri”.
While appreciating the Chairman of Aninri Local Government Area, Hon. Ajah thanked His Excellency Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his enormous love for Aninri.
He reiterated that all the 17 Council Areas are under Governor Ugwuanyi, the 260 wards in Enugu state are also under Gburugburu while the State and National Assemblies are also under Governor Ugwuanyi. He concluded that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a leader everyone should be proud of because he has given his best for the party.
While the meeting was going on, the former Aninri Council chairman, Rt. Hon. Okezie Nwanjoku, Hon Okoroma Goodnews, Hon Philip Orji, Hon Obinna Nwiyia (former supervisor of education) and Hon. Chinedu Ekweremmadu and other party Stakeholders stormed the occasion in a grand style as they supported the party and pledged full commitment in the affairs of the party.

The Executive Chairman of Aninri L.G.A, Honourable Chief Ajah Benneth, today 6th day of April 2022, had meeting with all the stakeholders of the local government which centered on the need to know that Aninri L.G.A is one and for every son and daughter of Aninri irrespective of the political party or affiliation.
In his address, the Executive Chairman, Honourable Ajah Benneth Ogbonna called the meeting for mutual understanding and that he came to Aninri not to receive praises or talk of the past but to deliver and solve the problems in Aninri. Hon. Benneth Ajah admonished the councilors not to make laws that would favour him but the people of the LGA at large as he’s not in the council for PDP or APC but for Ndi Aninri at large. He also urged the Igwes to always advise their people in their various communities against crime and to seek peace and unity at all times.
Hon. Mrs Margaret Nwinya who happened to be the first female deputy Chairman in Aninri LG anchored the Chairman’s character on humility, patience and forgiving heart. She thanked the Igwes and other Stakeholders present and urged everyone to respect the government of Igwe Cee Mennia as the meeting was first of its kind since the creation of the local government in 1996

Apart from the obvious lies and falsehoods, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has been peddling or spewing against the PDP leaders and founding fathers of Enugu to justify his desperation to disrupt the conventional rotation of governorship seat in Enugu state that is against his vaulting governorship ambition, which has placed a heavy moral burden on him, he has corruption baggages hanging on his neck.
These corruption baggages were brought to the public courtesy of thorough investigations and findings by a Nigerian-based and globally respected online media, Premiumtimes in conjunction with international media houses and anti-graft agencies. The publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Premiumtimes is a nationally and internationally award winning journalist and author, Dapo Olorunyomi.
The respected online media had in one of its stories titled: “Fresh Facts Expose How Ekweremadu, Others Withdrew N8b Laundered Funds Meant For Failed Constitution Amendments” published on December, 17, 2015 revealed how Ekweremadu, serving as Chairman, Senate Constitution Amendment Committee alongside others withdrew and diverted N8B public funds for personal use. Also in a story published on Saharareporter online on June16, 2017, the former Chief Judge of Enugu State, (rtd) Justice Innocent Umuzulike petitioned the National Security Adviser Major General Babagana Mungono (rtd) asking him to order the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe how Ekweremadu acquired 32 choice properties in Nigeria and abroad while in public office.
On March 22, 2018, Premiumtimes published a story titled: ‘Fed. Govt Moves To Sieze Properties Allegedly Belonging To Ekweremadu.’ The story detailed moves by the then Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery Of Public Property headed by Bar. Okoi Obono-Obla to sieze the mind boggling and illicit properties acquired by Ekweremadu that he never declared in his asset declaration form and cannot explain the genuine source of such stupendous wealth of him.
Instead of substantiating or explaining to Nigerians the source of the money he used to purchase such properties or debunk the ownership and allow the Federal Government Panel to sieze them, Ekweremadu hired a senior lawyer, who went to court on his behalf to question the jurisdiction of the court and the Panel, engaged in delay tactics and technicalities to sabotage the seizure and subsequent prosecution of Ekweremadu.
After that, Ekweremadu used his position, loot and influence as Deputy Senate President then to frustrate the matter and ensured that Bar. Obono-Obla was removed from office unceremoniously and his Panel dissolved. Till today, Ekweremadu has not denied the ownership of these properties which he used people’s collective patrimony to acquire.
In related development, the Premiumtimes had in its story of March 21, 2020 titled: “Bagudu, Ekweremadu Top List Of Nigerians Linked To 800 Dubai Properties Worth N164b” exposed the massive and mindless acquisition of properties in Dubai by Nigeria political office holders including Ekweremadu.
Despite the continous investigations and publications of Ekweremadu and others’ corruption escapades and illicit properties acquisition with overwhelming evidences, Ekweremadu has not spoken about it or taken the media house to court for defamation.
Ekweremadu has remained silent on it, even when silence is not golden on grave issue of this nature. Links and details of the investigated and published sleazes of Ekweremadu and other Nigeria public office holders are still on Google today begging for explanations and answers from those involved and indicted.
As Ekweremadu struggles desperately to create confusion in Enugu ahead of 2023 governorship election with his inordinate governorship ambition that is at variance with the conventional rotation of governorship seat in the state, the people of Enugu state have become worried and suspicious of Ekweremadu’s antics, motives and desperations.
They have seen that Ekweremadu is desperate to plough or use proceeds of his loots to hijack the governorship election by all means and continue his looting spree in office as Governor if elected.
For this reason, the people of Enugu have concluded that no governorship aspirant with corruption baggage will be supported in the election. They have also began to demand for answers and explanations from Ekweremadu on how he acquired such properties in Nigeria and abroad while in public office.
They have been in recent times, circulating, sharing and recycling details of the mindless acquisition of properties by Ekweremadu as was published by the media, asking him and his social media peddlers to explain his genuine source of such acquisitions, if it is not public funds. Instead of Ekweremadu to address the baggage which has become a source of worry, burden and nightmare to him ahead of Enugu governorship primary, Ekweremadu and his social media liars concocted imaginary properties they claimed were owned by Enugu state Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and started peddling them on social media platforms using psuedo accounts.
Their plan was to use the fake news on Ugwuanyi’s alleged properties to divert attention and smear Ugwuanyi’s image, thinking that Nigerians are fools. It is high time Ekweremadu speaks on his mindless acquisition of properties across the globe as investigated and published by the media and stop dissipating energy on trying to drag Ugwuanyi to mud. This is because Ugwuanyi’s antecedent and trackrecord is not a subject of scrutiny or questioning. It is known and vouchful. Ekweremadu should continue to carry his burdens and baggages. He owes the people of Enugu and Nigeria in general explanations on his massive properties globally. Until he does that, his conscience will continue to prick him. Ekweremadu should know that there is no hiding place for him and posterity will not be kind to him if he fails to explain what happened to the people’s collective patrimony entrusted in his hands for almost two decades as Deputy Senate President and Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial zone.

AS the political climate is turbocharged ahead of enugu state gubernatorial election, community-reportrs news has expressed dissatisfaction with the resurrection of anti-democratic and expired idea of zoning, equity mentality that dominate political discussion in Enugu State by some miscalculated analyst based on there selfish interest.

The Nigerian government has asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to freeze all hidden assets that were traced to the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
This demand was made via an ex-parte motion filed by legal practitioner, Festus Keyamo on behalf of the Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property.
The motion marked FHC/ABJ/CS/284/2018, specifically applied for an interim court order “temporarily attaching/forfeiting the properties listed in Schedule B hereunder, to the Federal Government of Nigeria, pending the conclusion of further inquiry/investigation by the Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property and/or possible arraignment of the Respondent”.
The motion was based on section 330 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, section 8 of the Recovery of Public Property (Special Provisions) Act, section 44 (2) (K) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.
The properties listed in the Schedule B, which the Federal Government is seeking to seize from Mr. Ekweremadu over his failure to declare them, are: No. 11, Evans Enwerem Street, Apo Legislative Quarters, Apo, Abuja; Plot 2633 Kyami, Abuja, Housing Estate; (Plot 1106 CRD, Cadastral Zone 07-07, Lugbe, Abuja; Plot 2782 Asokoro Extension, Abuja; Houses at Citi Park Estate, Gwagwalada, Abuja; Plot 1474 Cadastral Zone BD6, Mabushi, Abuja; Congress Court, Abuja; Flat 1, Block D25, Athletics Street, (24th Street) Games Village, Abuja and Plot 66, 64 Crescent, Gwarimpa Estate, Abuja. Others located in London are, Flat 4 Varsity Court, Harmer Street, WIH 4NW, London; 52 Ayleston Avenue, NW6 7AB, London. And those in Dubai and USA are; Room 1903, The Address Hotel, Downtown Dubai; The Address Boulevard, 3901, Dubai; 2 Flats of Burij Side Boulevard (the signature), Dubai; Emirate Gardens Apartment No. EGG1/1/114, Dubai; Emirate Gardens Apartment No. EGG1/115, Dubai; Apartment No. DFB/12/B 1204, Park Towers, Dubai; Flat 3604, MAG214, Dubai and Villa No 148, Maeen 1, The Lakes Emirates Hills, Dubai; 4507 Stella Street, Bellavida Estate Kissime, Florida, USA; 2747 Club Cortile Circle, Kissime, Florida, USA and 2763 Club Cortile Circle, Kissime, Florida, USA.
While explaining to the court that ongoing investigation and inquiries revealed that the properties listed in Schedule B belonged to Mr. Ekweremadu as at the time he declared his assets, the government said “preliminary investigation by the Applicant reveals that a prima facie case of a breach of Code of Conduct for Public Officers has been made out against the Respondent.”
It further told the court in an affidavit deposed to by one Yohanna Shankuk, that its investigation was based on a petition that was written against Mr. Ekweremadu by a retired Chief Judge of Enugu State, A.I. Umezulike.
It also listed 19 properties that the senator declared in the Assets Declaration Form he submitted before the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, on June 5, 2015, seven properties he declared on June 1, 2007, and details of his investments in and outside Nigeria, including his shares, debentures & other securities.

It also listed investments, in and outside Nigeria (Shares, Debentures & Other Securities), which Mr. Ekweremadu declared in 2015, as; “5, 100,000 – Citi Park Luxury Hotels Ltd (purportedly valued at N350 Million); 8, 000, 000 – Prime & Power Media Ltd ((purportedly valued at N30 Million); “300,000,000 – Bety Air Ltd ((purportedly valued at N5 Million); 40, 000 – Prime & Power Konsult Ltd (purportedly valued at N42 Million); 50,000 – Power Properties Ltd (purportedly valued at N50 Million); 70,000 – Spider Construction Ltd (purportedly valued at N35 Million)”. It stated that Mr. Ekweremadu had in 2007, declared, “4 Bedroom Terrace House, Games Village, Abuja, A Storey Building at Amachara (MPU) (Country home), A Storey Building & Boy Quarters with Boys Quarters at Federal Housing, Enugu; Apo Legislative Quarters, Apo, Abuja; “2644.60 Square meters of undeveloped Land at Asokoro, Abuja; 1000.577 Square meters, Kurubuma Layout, Abuja, 3000 Square meters, Amachara MPU”. While details of his declared investments was given as; “40, 000 – Prime & Power Konsult Ltd (purportedly valued at N40 Million); 50,000 – Prime Properties Ltd (purportedly valued at N50 Million); 70,000 – Spider Construction Ltd (purportedly valued at N36 Million). Advertisements “5, 100,000 – Citi Park Luxury Hotels Ltd (purportedly valued at N350 Million); 8, 000, 000 – Prime & Power Media Ltd (purportedly valued at N30 Million); 300,000,000 – Bety Air Ltd (purportedly valued at N5 Million); “40, 000 – Prime & Power Konsult Ltd (purportedly valued at N42 Million); 50,000 – Power Properties Ltd (purportedly valued at N50 Million); and 70,000 – Spider Construction Ltd (purportedly valued at N35 Million)”.
It told the court that “from 1999 till date, the Respondent has been a public officer and has not earned anything outside his salaries and allowances as a public officer. “That upon assumption of office in 2007, the Assets Declaration the Respondent made in 2007 does not reveal that he had acquired so much money or properties prior to that date. Attached as EXHIBIT F is the 2007 Assets Declaration Form of the Respondent. “That within a space of 16 years (1999 – 2015), investigation has revealed that the Respondent acquired all properties listed in Schedules A and B.
“That in his 2015 Assets Declaration Form before the Code of Conduct Bureau, the Respondent only declared the properties listed in Schedule A. Attached as EXHIBIT G is a Certified True Copy of the Assets Declaration Form of the Respondent of 2015. “That the Respondent failed to declare the Assets listed in Schedule B. That investigations have also revealed that even the total value of the properties listed in Schedule A is far above his total earnings as a public officer in the said 16-year period. “That it has become imperative for the Applicant to approach this Honourable Court for an Order temporarily attaching/forfeiting the said properties listed in Schedule B to the Federal Government of Nigeria pending the conclusion of further investigations and possible arraignment of the Respondent. “That without the orders of this Honourable Court attaching/forfeiting the said properties, the likelihood of the frustration of investigations as well as the dissipation of the said properties is very high.
While stressing that the matter is of utmost public interests and concern, to enable the applicant carry out a thorough investigation into the activities of the respondent in the acquisition of the said properties as it relates to the allegation of a breach of Code of Conduct for Public Officers, it explained that the order “is necessary to enable the Panel carry out its statutory duties and functions of investigation and recovery of public properties”
Reacting to the demand, Mr. Ekweremadu, via a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Uche Anichukwu, said he has no further assets to declare as he declared all his assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau as required by law.
The senator also blamed the demand on a vendetta and smear campaign allegedly championed by Okoi Obono-Obla, the president’s special assistant on prosecution who also serves as the chairman of the recovery panel.
Mr. Ekweremadu’s statement read, “The attention of the Office of the Deputy president of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has been drawn to a Motion Exparte filed by Festus Keyamo Chambers on behalf of the so-called Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property for an order to temporarily forfeit assets it claimed the Senator did not declare with the Code of Conduct Bureau. “Senator Ekweremadu, however, wishes to state unequivocally that there is no asset to forfeit as he declared all his assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau as required by law. “The so-called Panel sought and obtained his Assets Declaration Forms, but could not look at them since it is clearly out on a vendetta and smear campaign championed by Mr. Okoi Obono-Obla. “This is clearly part of the politics of 2019, and is further exposing those, who colluded with the dismissed former Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice Innocent Umezulike and his cronies to steal and doctor his will.
“The Senator has, nevertheless, briefed his lawyers and will meet the panel in court. Again, Senator Ekweremadu wishes to assure all his supporters and well-wishers that there is nothing to worry about. “Like others, this too shall pass.” The suit is, however, yet to be assigned to a judge for hearing
The chairman of the forum of governors elected on the platform of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Bagudu, and a senator representing Enugu west senatorial district, Ike Ekweremadu, are among serving political office holders named to be part of 334 prominent Nigerians who are linked to 800 properties scattered around the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This was revealed by a new report on illicit financial flows which put the value of the properties at N164 billion. The report, which was published on Thursday by an American-based non-governmental organisation, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, is a product of an investigative research conducted by one of its nonresident scholars, Matthew Page.
According to the report, the prominent public figures otherwise described as politically-exposed persons (PEP), who were found to own these properties, cut across Nigeria’s major ethnic, religious and political divides. The report noted that about 20 former and serving governors, seven former and serving senators, current and former heads of ministries, departments and agencies of government, commissioners and those described as ‘money changers,’ that is, bureau de change operators, own a significant number of the properties. Some of the other identified individuals linked to the properties include the former PDP chairman, Ahmadu Ali; former Kwara State governor, Mohammed Lawal; former petroleum minister, Dan Etete; another former deputy senate president, Ibrahim Mantu; former managing director of the acquired Oceanic Bank, Mrs. Cecilia Ibru. Others are the former inspector general of police, Tafa Balogun; former chairman of military pension board, Bala Mshelia; former group managing director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Ladan Shehu, and a former head of the petroleum product marketing company, Samuel Okeke, among others.
About the report, which is titled; “Dubai Properties” An Oasis for Nigeria’s Corrupt Political Elites”, according to its author is based largely on private data compiled by UAE-based real estate and property professionals. ⓘ Dubbed “Sandcastles data,” the UAE-based real estate professionals had in 2016, made the data available to the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (now known as C4ADS) as confidential sources.
But as credible as the data is, the Centre added a caveat that they do not constitute property deed, which it noted is a form of official documentation strictly controlled in the UAE as confidential information. “Further, the data, last updated in 2016, show the affiliation of individuals and entities with Dubai property at that moment in time, and, as such, this paper makes no claim that these affiliations have continued past that year.
The mention of any individual, company, organisation, or entity in this paper does not imply the violation of any law or international agreement,” the report cautioned. Some of the individuals’ share of the properties Mr. Bagudu Described in the report as Abacha man, Mr. Bagudu is said to be linked to eight properties on the twelfth floor of Dubai’s capital bay towers development. The properties are said to worth more than $4.8 million in total. Mr. Bagudu’s name has consistently appeared in some of the recoveries of monies stashed abroad by Mr. Abacha. Mr Bagudu, the incumbent Kebbi State governor, helped Mr. Abacha embezzle billions of dollars from government coffers in the mid to late 1990s, according to U.S. court filings. He has, however, continued to deny all corruption allegations leveled against him, but a 1998 Nigerian government investigative panel described how Mr. Bagudu and his accomplices siphoned these funds. Very recently, Nigeria was reported to be committed to a deal that would give Mr. Bagudu about $100 million from funds recovered from his erstwhile boss, Mr. Abacha.
This was revealed through a report by Bloomberg, which cited court documents. READ ALSO: ICPC wants NDDC director to forfeit filling station, warehouse acquired ‘fraudulently’ The report noted that “when provided with an opportunity to comment on his possible connection to property in Dubai, Bagudu did not respond.”communityreporeter’ message asking similar questions sent to his telephone line and his WhatsApp page was not replied. Late Mohammed Lawal: He was the governor of Kwara State between 1999 and 2003, and was a military governor of Ogun State between 1987 and 1990. Mr. Lawal is linked to six properties with a total purchase price of over $2 million. “At least, one of those properties, a villa, was bought in January 2003, while Lawal was still in office.”
Ike Ekweremadu: Currently Nigeria’s longest serving parliamentarian and three-time deputy president of the senate, Mr. Ekweremadu is said to be connected to eight Dubai properties, with an estimated total value of more than $7 million. “These include a luxury flat in Park Towers bought for $2.2 million and one in Burj Dubai purchased for $1.4 million.” Described as a career politician, Mr Ekweremadu is also linked to at least two properties in the United Kingdom, which according to the records were purchased between 2008 and 2011 for a total of 4.2 million pound sterling in 2011. “One of these properties, an upscale flat in central London, is registered in the name of Ekweremadu’s charitable foundation while the second, a detached house in a leafy north London suburb, is owned by a shell company registered in the British Virgin Islands,” the report stated. The researcher noted in the report that through Mr. Ekweremadu’s unnamed spokesman, he denied owning “purported ‘hidden properties’” and has stated “unequivocally that he declared all his assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau as required by law.” When contacted by our reporter, his spokesman, Uche Anichukwu, said he was unaware of the said report and requested that its link should be forwarded to him for reaction. However, as at the time of filing this report, he was yet to respond to the enquiry. Ibrahim Mantu: A former deputy senate president and an advocate of third term agenda for former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Mr. Mantu is linked to 12 of the 800 properties which he was said to have purchased for a total of over 10 million dollars through a front company, TSE Stevedoring Nigeria. Advertisements His wife and sons reportedly own 70 per cent of the company. “Through another company, A-Z Properties, Mantu also is linked to a $600,000 flat in the Jumeirah Beach Residences while his son, Musa, is also tied to a comparable flat in the same development.” Ahmadu Ali: A former chairman of the PDP, Mr. Ali; his wife, Marian Ali, and his son, Mamman Ali are linked to 11 of the identified properties. Seven of the said properties are worth about $4 million while the other four are said to be worth an estimated $2 million. The report added; “Ali also owns two high-end London properties: a $10 million house near Hampstead Heath and a $1.3 million flat in Marylebone.84 Ali did not respond when given an opportunity to comment on the aforementioned allegations or his family’s possible connection to property in Dubai.” Cecilia Ibru:
The former bank managing director, her family and associates are linked to dozens of properties in Dubai as recently as 2016, according to the report. They include eight apartments in the Park Towers development purchased for a total of $4.3 million; a flat in Dubai Marina now worth about $500,000, and four commercial properties. These are apart from $1.2 billion in stolen cash and assets forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria following her plea bargain with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, after she pleaded guilty to three of 25-count of fraud brought against her. ⓘ The forfeited assets then had included 12 homes in the United States; four homes in South Africa, 28 shop fronts and seven residences in Dubai; 41 properties in Lagos, and eight houses in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
Use of fronts Meanwhile, the report also identified possible use of fronts by prominent Nigerians including former Delta State governor, James Ibori. According to the report, about four political associates of the former governor were found to have ties to properties in Dubai. “One is linked to four Dubai properties, purchased for a total of $3.8 million, according to Sandcastles data. Another is affiliated with a two-bedroom flat on the 21st floor of the DAMAC Residenze, which, according to the developer, “comes with all the trappings of an indulgent lifestyle,” as well as “uninterrupted panoramic views of the ocean.” The report further noted that the official reportedly purchased the apartment for over $1.5 million and also bought a flat in another development for $500,000.66. “A third Ibori ally is linked to a two-bedroom flat on the 23rd floor of the DAMAC Residenze that he purchased for over $1.3 million. Yet another is tied to four luxury flats in Dubai, purchased for just over $2 million in total,” the report added. There is also a businessman involved in technology and petroleum sectors, Shehu Badamasi, who is said to have created a Dubai property empire worth over 120 million dollars. He is said to have accomplished this despite being well-known to Nigerian law enforcement. The report noted that Badamasi asserted that he and his companies do not, as of February 2020, own any Dubai real estate. “When asked to clarify whether he owned property prior to 2016—the period covered by the Sandcastles data—he did not deny owning it.” The businessman was said to be known to the EFCC having been allegedly arrested, at least twice, for alleged criminal conspiracy, fraud, and diversion of credit facility worth roughly N17.7 billion. “Badamasi appears to have owned Dubai property through two firms he controls. Through Nujuum Ventures, he was linked to 89 properties. He also holds an 11 per cent stake in Secure Electronic Technology (formerly the Nigerian Sports Lottery) through Nujuum. Badamasi’s other major corporate vehicle is Tanzila Petroleum, a petroleum products trading company. Through Tanzila, he was affiliated with 25 Dubai properties, purchased for a total of 25.7 million dollars,” report said.

Consequences With her worsening poverty rate, which is said to be as high as 52 per cent, Nigeria was recently dubbed world’s poverty capital.
However, in spite of this frightening stigma, a handful of the country’s elites have been found to control huge wealth stashed away in foreign lands both in cash and assets. The report recommended strict response from the country’s anti-corruption agencies, noting that “ignoring this phenomenon would ensure that Dubai property remains an attractive conduit for illicit financial flows from Nigeria for decades to come.” It added that failure to act appropriately will enable the outflows to “drain government coffers, drive up borrowing, and put further pressure on the naira, Nigeria’s perennially struggling currency.”
Speaking on the development, the spokeswoman for one of Nigeria’s anti-corruption agencies, Independent Corrupt Practices and other Offences Commission (ICPC), Rasheedah Okoduwa, said the agency is determined to recover as much loot as possible. She said the agency would study the report and consider its review for possible action. “We will look into it and take appropriate action,” she said. Mrs. Okoduwa’s counterpart at the EFCC, Tony Orimolade, neither picked his call nor replied text message forwarded to his mobile line. Dubai’s ‘uncooperative’ stance But the report has identified as a possible clog in stopping illicit outflows to the Middle East, Dubai government’s poor commitment to financial regulations.
The report noted; “For politically exposed persons (PEPs) with ill-gotten wealth, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is an alluring destination for investing their gains. Although certainly not the only place to stash money, Dubai—dubbed the commercial capital of the Middle East—exercises minimal oversight and has few legal or logistical obstacles to transferring large amounts of cash or purchasing property.”
Dubai authorities are said to beyond reprimand by the western world, especially following the city’s relationship with both Europe and America. “Western governments are constrained by their complex and cozy relationships with the UAE. The United States, United Kingdom, and many European governments enjoy close ties to Emirati leaders, underpinned by decades of close diplomatic and military cooperation. Strong financial and institutional links—not to mention robust defense equipment sales—have also helped cement ties. Compared to its neighbors, the UAE is a relatively stable and reliable Western partner in the Gulf region. Constrained by its own strategic imperatives, the international community lacks leverage—or even backroom influence—over Emirati decision making.
This makes it difficult to apply coordinated and sustained pressure on Emirati officials on sensitive issues like Dubai’s role in facilitating illicit financial flows, only good journalism can ensure the possibility of a good society, an accountable democracy, and a transparent government. The Presidents-General (PGs) of all the communities in Aninri Local Government Area, have held a crucial meeting with the Executive Chairman of the Local Government today, the 1st day of April, 2022.
During the well attended meeting, the PGs condemned, in strong terms, the attack at the country home of the Executive Chairman a day before his election. The Community leaders also commended the Executive Chairman for the good works he has been doing so far.
The leader of the PGs stated that the meeting provided them with an opportunity to discuss important and peculiar issues affecting the communities across Aninri L.G.A.
Paramount among the discussions at the meeting was the necessity to mobilize their people and fund the upcoming population census exercise to be carried out by officials of the Nigerian Population Commission (NPC). The Executive Chairman did not, however, mince words in announcing to the delight of the PGs that he has already released funds for the project and advised them not to task any member of their Communities for the project. The number one citizen also assured to release more funds to ensure the success of the excercise.
Finally, the people’s Chairman charged the PGs to be agents of peace and good ambassadors in their various communities in particular, and Aninri, at large.
It was a joyful atmosphere on Friday, 1st April 2022 as the Aninri Local Government Area and St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Nenwe, held their 2022 Cathedralticum at St. Peter’s Catholic Cathedral. Some of the dignitaries in attendance were Hon. Chief Benneth Ajah, the Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government; Hon. Victor Okoro, Aninri People’s Democratic Party Chairman; Hon. Chukwunonye Okereke, SSA on Transportation; Hon. Amos Oshi; Bishop John Okoye, the Catholic Bishop of Awgu Diocese; the 12 Catholic priests across Aninri L.G.A; and some reverend sisters.
Speaking during the epoch-making event, Hon. Benneth Ajah who conveyed the felicitations of the government and people of Aninri Local Government Area to the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Awgu, Bishop John Okoye, and the Diocesan faithfuls, expressed gratitude to God for making the 2022 Cathedralticum a success.
The Executive Chairman stated that it was a great privilege for him to be part of this historic event and reaffirmed his Catholic belief and decision to remain a Catholic all the days of his life.
Whilst commending Bishop Okoye’s diligence and tenacity, the people’s Chairman also appreciated the great role of the Catholic priests in ensuring that the work of God triumphs at all times. The Council Boss prayed for God’s continual blessings and protections upon those who support and sacrifice their resources and time for the development of the Church.
He also thankfully acknowledged that the peace and unity enjoyed in Aninri Local Government Area were largely because of the prayers and wise counsel of the Church and her faithfuls, as he prayed God to continue to bless the Church and all her priests and the laity. The number one citizen of the local government implored the Church and her priests and laity to continue to avail the state of “these twin supports of inestimable value”.
In conclusion, the amiable Executive Chairman asked for the Church’s prayers, advice, and supports towards the success of his administration.
Meanwhile, earlier in his sermon, Rev. Fr. Anthony expressed delight that the 2022 Cathedralticum was a huge success. The Clergy thanked the Almighty God for His mercies and love for the local government and her people. He also appreciated the support from the local government and others towards the success of the event, as he prayed God to reward them abundantly.
Also present at the event were Hon. Igwe Felix Ikechukwu (Leader, 10th Assembly, Aninri LGA); Hon. Ekenedilichukwu Nwanjoku (Technical Assistant to the Governor); Hon. Magnus Ede; Hon. Philip; Hon. The former Deputy Senate president has lavished money on recalcitrant party executives in appreciation for their visible show of insurbordination and out right disrespect to the council chairman of Aninri local government area Hon Bennett Ajah in a meeting.
This show of shame of encouraging such ignoble attitude should be repugnant to all party fathfuls and we advise that he should play the role of a father figure and a peace maker like the Governor of Enugu state Rt Hon Lawrence ifeanyi ugwuanyi and stop been antagonistic by encouraging unnecessary division.
The party executives should enjoy the free gift and windfall and learn how to be respectful when next they are dealing with a constituted authority.
The party executives should be smart because in the next 2 months the primaries will be over and the free gift will cease to trickle.

I think as a legislature, part of what gives life to law, is the effects of the law on the people after it has been passed. In other words, what are the consequences of our actions if we resolve to take them?
One would then wonder what Ekweremadu intended to achieve by paying off salaries of some mischievous party executives. Does that mean he is loyal to the party? If that is correct, why has he not shown this act of lavishness on similar cases where the party once had internal rifts?
Could a reasonable man walk up to me now and say, “EKWEREMADU HAS ACHIEVED PEACE BY PAYING PARTY EXECUTIVES”. It will be foolish to think so…
So Ekweremadu has money to pay party executives but does not have money to fix Mpu Health Centre?
He has money to pay party executives but does not have money to restore electricity in Aninri for over five years or more?
He has money to pay party executives but could not do something to elevate the living standard of those party executives after over 20 years in power?
Why is the welfare of those party executives more important to Ekweremadu than the welfare of an average Mpu man who struggle to eat twice a day?
Ekweremadu has made a big mistake by dividing Aninri PDP and only him should take the blame. Those he paid could have been talked to and reconciled with the Chairman for peace to reign, but he chose to pay and motivate them to further wrestle with the Chairman. A true father can never behave this way if truly he loves his family.
It is now very obvious who sent those party executives to denigrate the executive Chairman of Aninri, Hon. Ajah Benneth Ogbonna, because he who pays the piper, dictates the tune. Let Ekweremadu stop flaming the fire.

It is not only in the animal kingdom that predators exist; they also exist in political kingdom where they exhibit unrestrained predatory animalism. Is anyone in doubt of this human animalistic idiosyncrasies? Well, Aristotle captures the scenario succinctly in his summary description of the nature of man; “man is by nature a political animal”- Aristotle(382-322 BC).
One hard truth about Aninri politics is that most of our political elites often look forward to money sharing as they support candidates’ for political positions. They may not voice it, but at the back of their minds, the sharing of money after elections had been won and lost and power acquired and consolidated, hangs rapaciously like the gluttony of a goat.
It is unfortunate as it is heart-rending that these predatorial political elites do not care about the masses. As far as they are concerned, the proletariat can go to blazes because their egocentric interest is simple; so long as local government financial allocations keep coming to a round table for sharing, they don’t give a hoot whether our local government is developed or not and whether the masses were empowered or not. Their own is to feather their selfish nests in all directions at the expense of our local government and the people as they regularly smile ostentatiously to the bank, while the people suffer abject penury. Chief Gani Faweihinmi describes them metaphorically as political predators. In Aninri, our new chairman is their greatest albatross!
If our chairman’s frugal and prudent methodology in the management of local government resources had not emasculated their greedy hands and blocked the conduits through which others equally siphoned our exchequer, our collective patrimony would have been aggressively and irredeemably raped to stupor and Aninri would have still remained irretrievably in the denigrating and derisive doldrums of primitivity, wearing the opprobrious epithet, “Dust of the state”. If Hon Ajah Benneth our chairman had thrown our patrimony open to their whims, they would be hailing him, but after power they will be blaming him for sharing moneys that could have been used to develop the our local government regardless of the fact that they were the beneficiaries. So, it is the best thing for our chairman to be castigated, cajoled and maligned on social media by political predators and their crumb eaters for not sharing our local government allocations among them now that he is in power than to share the allocations and be pilloried after power for not developing the state by the same people who see him from their avaricious prisms as a left-wing ideologue. Our chairman is the greatest albatross of these political predators who inhabit our political ecosystem, eating up the vegetables of our development in the past. Today, they are not hiding the fact that they are not happy, but what is the justification for their anger with the chairman’s uncompromising stance against heist of whatever guise? Even when they equally savour the infrastructural bliss of the chairman, they still want the allocations raw like the sacrificial meat; demanded raw by Hophni and Phinehas in the Holy Writ. It’s a sin against God. Leader like Cee Mennia’s breed, considers viable options to checkmate the pillaging of our local government resources are called “stingy” and opposed by malevolent capitalists who desire to keep getting richer while the poor remain more poor in their adversaries. Weighed down by the burden of frustration, having failed to get the chairman to “share the common patrimony” in his administration, these political predators have resorted to spewing concocted stories and malicious falsehood about Chief Ajah Benneth’s administration. Ironically, the more these bad elements and political predators attempt to rubbish our chairman with worthless allegations and unfounded propaganda, based on fallacious tendencies, the more they portray him to the world as a powerful leader who is born of impartiality, to resist any attempt of selfish centrifugal forces.
Would I asked; that most of Ndi Aninri, especially the politicians, plays opposition politics mainly when they are disgruntled and driven by greed and selfishness? Cases abound and justified anyway because politics is a game of interests. But then, these interests become personalised when political predators believe that, their oligarchy interests should supersedes that of the masses. It’s a sin against democracy! More so, this is the difference between supporting our chairman based on masses’ interests rather than on personal, individualized, egocentric and the egoistic greedy interests of political predators.
For the records and in case these political predators do not know; he’s gburu gburu’s kind of leader. He is the type of leader our Governor desires to succeed him because he too is aggressively averse to the sharing of our state wealth to please the insatiable appetite of “iron law oligarchy.” One remarkable thing about such leaders too is that the more political predators sponsor image damaging writings against them in the media, the more they win elections. This equally explains why they sweep the polls and coast home to victory in every elections.

No governor, in the history of Nigeria democracy has stepped away with his work complete, campaign promises fulfilled, nor without some baggage left behind for his predecessor, but Governor ifeanyi Lawrence ugwuanyi is about to break that jinx for good.
Governor Ugwuanyi was unarguably, the only governor in the South East whose victory was predictable in 2019. While his counterparts struggled with identity crisis, he trudged on confidently, mainly on account of his shining vista of accomplishments. Not surprisingly, he polled the highest number of votes in each of the 17 local government areas of the state and was returned with a bang.
Without a speck of doubt, Ugwuanyi has justifiably stamped himself as one of the poster boys of good governance in the current dispensation. And his rich developmental track records have consistently won him bipartisan praise, a phenomenon rarely seen in Nigeria.
Governor Ugwuanyi had invested in humanity through innumerable intervention projects in education, health, agriculture and other humanitarian services and how the embarrassingly knotty issue of underdevelopment had been dealt a fatal punch.Just like the preceding year, he proved unique and colourful as Enuguian’s continued experiencing the taste of the sweet flavour of development being dished out from the kitchen of the political Master gburus The state soared like a falcon to endless heights and progress blew across the land like ocean breeze.
But perhaps, the most glaring achievement was youth empowerment. Enugu became the state that pioneered massive engagement of youths in governance in Nigeria’s political topography, with the inauguration of many new sets of Special Assistants, tagged, ‘Technical Assistants’ and ‘Senior Technical Assistants.
The interesting things in these appointments are that the list was dripping with names of unemployed youths. . The Ugwuanyi’s formular apart from justifying geo-political realities in the state, immediately created refuge for the unemployed; more people were brought on board, until the number of appointees spiked to over a thousand.His administration declared emergency in the health sector and began reconstruction of general hospitals simultaneously across the seventeen local government areas of the state.
The administration poured billions of naira into the sector as soft loans to farmers, targeting expanded rice farming. The plan worked and rice production tripled. The government also procured parboiling machines for its rice mills.
Meanwhile, the regime of projects and road construction continued unabated. Unsurprisingly, as a workaholic he’s Governor Ugwuanyi placed infrastructure at the centre of the development matrix. The governor envisaged a prosperous Enugu state: an Enugu that is easily accessible, open to foreigners and Nigerians to pursue their potentials; a safe and clean environment; an Enugu that has connectivity and mobility.
Generally, there were landmark records in road construction, box culverts and massive drainage channels in every part of the state. Contracts were awarded for construction of several bridges scattered across different towns and villages.
Inspite of these far-reaching exploits, Governor Ugwuanyi’s passion for service to Enugu people has remained unshaken and unwavering as he continues to zip open more bags of goodies for his subjects, and will remain so.
It is said that one good turn deserves another, the man who has capacity to do something great has capacity to replicate same anytime any day, “it is also true that proficiency is efficiency”. Not until the LG primary election was about to commenced they formed the so called ” oganiru Enugu state” with an agenda to take over Aninri, after which they started sharing fake PDP membership card to rig election, low and behold our God pass them as it all ended in shackles of a thin air.
Today as i speak another is about happening right before our two naked eyes which they tagged “celebration of a silver jubilee in Aninri” which I know is dead on arrival and shall hold no water.

I was shocked and surprised seeing the former Deputy Senate President and Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial zone, Senator Ike Ekweremadu preaching about gratitude at the PDP local government election campaign at Ezeagu LGA. Shockingly, Ekweremadu who spoke in parables was very passionate and emphatic about the essence of remaining grateful to benefactors in politics.
Expectedly his uninformed and brainwashed heirlings and canon folders have since played to the gallery with the video of the political homily in search of the usual cheap popularity for their paymaster. They have taken the video to town and social media platforms without knowing the consequences on Ekweremadu’s personality and political career.
I don’t know what prompted Ekweremadu into such preaching. Whatever prodded him into such is misleading, counterproductive and tantamount to self deceit as he cannot deceive everybody at the same time. Ekweremadu can only preach such political gospel to people who do not know his political trajectory and catalogue of serial betrayals of his benefactors and supporters. Ekweremadu is as guilty as those he preached against and for. His is a case of someone who has not removed the log in his eyes, but tried to remove another person’s own.
Maybe Ekweremadu believed that Enugu people have short memory or suffer from selective amnesia. They do not. Has anyone asked why Ekweremadu who has stayed away from all the PDP LG campaigns decided to appear at Ezeagu LGA rally? Your guess is as good as mine. Just to seek for undue relevance and cheap popularity that was not there. How grateful was and is Ekweremadu to Senator Chimaroke Nnamani who God used against all odds to break Ekweremadu’s political kernel which Ekweremadu is still enjoying today, relying on continous betrayal of his supporters and benefactors? Where and why did Ekweremadu abandon his greatest benefactor, Nnamani in time of need? How has Ekweremadu appreciated and acknowledged Nnamani’s political benevolence and kindness to him? Was it not the same Ekweremadu who did everything possible to stop his greatest benefactor, Senator Nnamani from returning to Senate in 2019? If not that the white lion in the Lion Building roared and Ekweremadu ran back, Ekweremadu was determined to return Senator Gil Nnaji, his new found ally and lackey to Senate against Senator Nnamani.
Was it not Senator Ekweremadu that Governor Sullivan Chime sacrificed his Senatorial ambition for in 2015 for zoning to be retained and peace to reign in the state? How has Ekweremadu appreciated and respected Chime since then? Ekweremadu has complex issue that has always made him feel that he is smarter than everybody politically. Monkey smart is because trees near each other. Ekweremadu’s true political smartness and sagacity, if any at all, will be put to test in 2023 elections. It will be a time he will likely be paid back in his own coins and be rewarded for his serial betrayals and ingratitude that led to his rising political profile. After that, Ekweremadu will know where to place himself politically and otherwise. No doubt, he is bound to learn great lessons too late.
Honorable Ajah Benneth Ogbonnaya has proven to the world that he is an asset, having satisfied the needs of the masses especially making every average Aninri indegens proud of home. He has set standard for everyone and this has given Aninri international recognition. The “kpokis and nwoke neme Ike ya” syndrome is now a thing of the old.
Ajah Benneth knows his onions in terms of leadership and manages every capital within his reach to ensure legacy oriented projects are installed for the future generation. His legacies and infrastructural prowess are quite glaring, which company speaks of
On several occasions, honorable Ajah Benneth has proven to those under his care that the very essence of leadership is that God gifted ability to have vision. He is a rare gem whose work has transformed Aninri into a beautiful city and making it the Dubai of West Africa.

A focused person with good vision ought to give him every maximum support and encouragement needed to pilot the affairs of Aninri the same way he did in his company. Little when he declared for chairmanship, every nooks and crannies of Aninri was turned into jubilation.
