The problem of leadership has become very crucial in the journey of this nation that it gives many concerned Nigerians sleepless nights. This is the pathetic situation which Chinua Achebe saw when he equivocally asserted that ” The trouble with Nigeria is simple and squarely a failure of leadership” .
Truly, the problem of Nigeria is leadership indeed. Every society certainly needs committed leader or leaders.
This is why Nigerians overwhelmingly voted for the PDP for sixteen years and also yeiling to vote for them come 2023 to usher in quality leadership to Nigerians who had hitherto suffered as a result of bad leadership of the (all progressive Congress) so far so good, the PDP government has been up and doing in delivering quality leadership to Nigerians for the past years.
In Enugu state our story has been that of the Israelites when God turned their captivity around and it was like a dream. The unprecedented infrastructural revolution in the State is monumental, breathtaking and amazing. The Executive Governor of Enugu State His Excellency, ifeanyi Lawrence ugwunyi has within 6years turned Enugu State to a wonder.
This is why many are trooping to Enugu State to see for themselves how a State that was once backward is now the talk of the nation and on the world map. This is the marvel engineered by Governor ugwunyi within the shortest period of time. The concrete pavement roads, the ultra modern digital Ecumenical Center, the ultra modern world class shopping mall, streetlights, water fountains, ultra modern world class Stadium, dualization of Enugu etc. All these and more within 6 years, this is amazing, unprecedented and revolutionary indeed.
As a result of all these antecedents, it is the believe of so many well meaning Nigerians who incidentally have been following the trends of events in enugu State that with His Excellency, Dr ifeanyi ugwunyi as an infrastructural mogul, rebuilding Nigeria if given the opportunity to steer the ship of Nigeria will be unprecedented and revolutionary. He has the required and needed political will to give the country the leadership it deserves. Moreso, he is practically displaying the leadership acumen in the development of enugu State which is endearing him to Nigerians. Rebuilding Nigeria requires experienced, capable and pragmatic leadership which His Excellency, Dr ifeanyi ugwunyi offers to enuguian’s in a unique dimension.
According to John Newton, ” as the morning pshows the day, the boy shows the man” . As a Governor, His Excellency, Dr ifeanyi ugwunyi delivered so much with so little. In the same vein, the task of rebuilding Nigeria with Gov ugwunyi will be a success story because he has done it before and can do it again. The way he rebuilt Enugu State within the last 6years is an eloquent testimony of what he will do with Nigeria as President.
Let’s give him support come 2023 and Nigeria shall be better for it.
